My son was recently married and he and his wife just had a house built in Tomball. They are moving from southern Cali. I was wondering what the area and the folks are like out there. Thanks for your input

Tomball area is very nice. I live on the outskirts (Spring) and it is a very nice area with good schools Klein/Tomball school districts. There are alot of parks and restaraunts and shopping and it is very family oriented.

Thank you for the responses! I'm driving out there this weekend to see their new home. They are in their mid 20s and were looking to find a nice place to begin a family. Looks like they found the right place!

We live in Tomball ISD but are in Montgomery County. The schools are good and tha area is becoming less "countrified". I think it's a great location because you are right in the middle of Willowbrook and The Woodlands. (depending on which end of Tomball you are in)

Watch out for the cops though. lol!!

I had a great time out there this last weekend! Went to several wonderful restaurants in the area and did some driving around to see what was up in the area. One question though....where is the nearest nascar track that the people of Texas must go to for driver training??

Tomball, is a great central location to live. Highway 290 to the west goes Austin , I10 west to San Antonio, I45 north to Dallas. Anything you want can be found in Houston and somethings you don't want but for a big city it is the best area.
