I just checked out the new U.S news rankings. Thought some people might be interested in it.

U of H is down by 10 - now they are Tier 4. I don't even remember seeing Tier 4 last year. Perhaps U.S. news expanded the rankings and that would explain the Tier 4. Dosen't tell you the exact position of UH in the ranking. It just says that they fell by 10 spots.
Anyway, no good news for Mrs. Khator.

Rice is up 1 to #17 , UT-Austin is up 2 to # 47 , Texas A&M - College Station up by 4 to #61.

College Station had a very high acceptance rate. It's 70% and that's extremely unusual for Tier 1 Colleges. No one really wants to move there, I guess?

I always felt from my experiences at UT, it was a bit overrated as an undergrad. I really enjoyed my grad years at UH.

U of H introduced its "Master Plan" in 2007, right? They haven't even been able to stay where they were. It's still been going down.

And yeah, UT is probably overrated

So what about the downtown campus of U of H? What about Taxes southern? I'm moving to Houston to start college and those are my two choices

Clear Lake is not even ranked and same with TSU. But the reputation of TSU is actually pretty bad imo.

Don't put too much into these studies and ratings. A study can be made to project anything the researcher would like it to project and is very subjective.
