In San Antonio one of my favorites was always El Mirador in the King William District. Several years ago when I was back for business, the owner's mother came in to make mole for my boss. OMG. The best mole I've ever had. It totally ruined mole for me elsewhere. LOL

El Mirador Mexican Restaurant

My mouth is watering just thinking about that place.

I eat at taquerias around my house and have not been disappointed.

For more fancy places I like Lupe Tortillas.

I'm a sucker for Chuy's. Fun restaurant, good food, good margaritas, always crowded. They have a location in the Woodlands, north of Spring. The original Chuy's is in Austin.

If you go there, make sure you ask for the creamy jalapeno dip. It's free, but you have to ask for it.

I agree that Lupe Tortilla has some of the best beef fajitas. They have a location in Spring on I-45.
