Believe it or not, many refineries have designated smoke pens. It's not like those are located anywhere near the jet fuel tanks.

Not sure what the OP's point here is other than trying to compare smokers to dippers. Try visiting Nevada where you can smoke almost anywhere you want. I will admit I am a bit confused of this off the wall statement that "smokers are sissys"..? I would like to see evidence of that statement, which we all know cannot be produced. It appears to me that the OP is an adolescent wanna be cowboy displaced from a northern state that dips tobacco.

This is a fact. Depending on the facility, these areas are also inspected weekly to insure that the area is kept up to the safety standards set by the company and OSHA. A fire extinguisher is mandatory in all smoking pits. These extinguisher are filled with water and readily available incase the cigs (or trash) catch fire in the butt can.

It seems to me that with all the smoking laws that have been put into place it curbed down on the smokers. Try a country like Spain they have a ton of smokers.

I don't mind smoke one bit. what I do dislike, is Cig butts everywhere. Cigs should burn down to nothin, like they did before filters. Our cubs and everything else if full of cig butts. People stop at intersections, and dump out their damn ass trays on our streets. ---smokers should be required to police up their butts. then it would all be Jake by me.

Dip? eesh. I don't think there's anything worse than one of those styrofoam coffee cups people spit in. I see a lot of dipping out in the refineries...you can't smoke there.
I was on a long flight this year on Continental, and being a Platinum member, I was able to select my seating in advanced in the rows they reserve for Plats... I was happy to be on my way, and was ready for a nice flight.....

Then Bubba walks in, he can't fit in his seat and his entire arm is in the "space" of the middle person's seat. He just happens to sit across the isle from me. 20 minutes into the flight, he reaches into a bag and pulls out an empty coke bottle, then the fun began... he proceeds to chew and spit into it bottle, in full sight, for the entire trip.

I don't really care that people smoke, or chew, I can remove myself from those situations if it bothers me, but stuck on a plane, people chewing and spitting should show some restraint!

So, I take it he didn't offer you any?---I mean the chew, not the bottle.
