Does anyone know of a good landscaping company for drainage? And what I can expect to pay? I'm in the Stafford/Sugarland area with a fairly "normal" size backyard not too big, I'm on a regular sized lot... My backyard needs it badly

I just got a drainage pipe to relieve standing water on the side of the house. All 3 quotes were in the $1000 range.

We were quoted $1800 by our landscaper to take it from the middle of the back yard out to the street.

Mine is the same thing/distance. 6 drains were included. Did they do the work already? I'd suggest getting another quote since that seems high. Like I said, we had 3 quotes all in the $1000 range, which means that must be the acceptable price for that work.

We ended up using Allied Sprinkler.

Not related to the drainage pipe, but we were having some ponding in the back yard, lengthwise to the house. What cured that, simply enough was to aerate the lawn. The grass/roots/ground was so compacted that it couldn't drain properly. It cost about $100 to have a landscaper do it. Or you can rent the "machine" at HD. A friend did that... went in with several neighbors to split the cost of the rental and did several lawns in one saturday afternoon.

That's worth a try ^ I do see the drain hole covers and a black plastic tube in one spot of the yard so maybe I can try and find the preexisting system and do it myself. I was thinking maybe $500 for this, $1000 to $2000 seems a bit steep!
