Can't you just find some other place and do it there? Some subdivision? Not the Sugarland subdivisions though lol.
What's "Trick or Treat through Independence Park" ? I wouldn't like anything else than the actual door to door thing. Becuase that's what it is actually all about for the children.
I'm not sure what the stuff is mommiepremed posted. Sounds like they meet there and then go through the subdivisions? I wouldn't pay 16 bucks for that, though. That's crazy. I'd rather do it myself. That way mommy/daddy spend some time with him/her .

Go to the better off neighborhoods in your area like every one else in Houston. BGP,Tanglewood,Garden Oaks etc... I lived in Garden Oaks for years and I ran out of candy every year. I always ended up digging for pennies around 8:30! Kids from every apartment in a 20 mile radius came and it was so much fun!

How about just buy a bag of candy and give it to the kid. Then, you dont have to waste time and energy walking around some strange neighborhood knocking on strangers' doors. He's happy and you're happy.
