Hooray for the Kindle! I love mine. After we moved 21 boxes of books cross-country 3x, I vowed to go paper-free.

As to intellectual neighborhoods, someone at work told me that University Oaks is one of the most highly educated neighborhoods in the city. Lots of UH faculty.

Try inside the loop - or if you have kids the Woodlands. Many foreigners live in the Woodlands, as well as former expat Americans.

I thought The Woodlands was strictly Caucasians?

Katy and Sugar Land seem to be the most diverse.

You & the OP who's concerned about the low SAT scores at Clements would have loved the crowd at Gilleys.

Houston Fact: Within 6 months of living here your accent will sound EXACTLY like John Travolta in The Urban Cowboy. You need to watch that movie a few times to get a good feel for the average Houstonian.

Yee Hawwwwwwwwww, welcome to Houston!

HAHAHA I had to stop myself from laughing out loud in my cubicle... Yeah if you want to be around educated elite you might want to consider Fairfax County <sarcasm>. This post made my day
