My wife and I used to live in Buffalo, NY. There are at least two movie theaters there which are a part of a big shopping mall. We like it becuase we can go there in the weekend and have the lunch, do some shopping and watch a movie, all at the same place. I am wondering if there are any similar places in Houston. The movie theaters near me are all stand alone.

Memorial City and Katy Mills is the only one I can think of.

They all pretty much use to have them. But they were found to be non profitable. As many of Our fine Movie Houses have found. I go for I-Max if it's a special show, but would rather chill at home, and watch tha Tube.---2012, will be the next one I take the time to see.

City Centre is new one in Memorial area. Actually, you can eat and watch a movie at the same time. It's called Studio Movie Grill.

Deeerbrook has one but really it is not a destination mall. I would say go to The Woodlands if you are into serious shopping. The theater is not attached to the mall but on the outer parcel. You can't go wrong with The Woodlands.

Willowbrook mall is nice, and there's a nice theater right across the street. And there's a lot of good places to eat right around there. While it's not in the same building - it's all very close together and would make for a nice afternoon out and about. I believe that there is also an Imax theater in that area, as well as a movie tavern kind of place (movie place where you can eat dinner and watch a movie at the same time).
