We are moving to Houston by the end of December and although I have looked at numerous houses, developments and areas, I need some help from you.

Here's what I am looking for a great (and I mean great) development that’s has tons of kids and community events and the best schools around. Our price cap is $300K

I have been to neither Pearland nor Friendswood, we have chosen that area due to the fact my husband will be commuting to Deer Park, and I want to have access to Houston, Sugarland.

One more note, if anyone knows of any great barns in the area for horse boarding and riding I would appreciate that info to. We are trying to find a "backyard barn" where it is very family oriented

I appreciate any info you could give me

You should consider the area around Pearland Parkway and Beltway 8. It's in Pearland, but isn't really West or East Pearland. It's a master planned community with great access to the Beltway, 45, and 288.

There are several stables in Friendswood. And several communities under 300K with young families and the activities you are looking for.

Just a note that Pearland, especially further West toward 288 (such as the Silverlake area) is very diverse culturally, and Friendswood is not. If that matters to you, you should be aware. Having come from the big city, I prefer the diversity in a neighborhood and the schools my child is attending.
