What's your price range? Are you wanting something that already has your wants in existence, or are you willing to build some of those (shelters, etc) if you have the property?

[mod edit, cant link single properties]
Crosby, Huffman, Porter, and New Caney would be good areas to start looking in because they would have the acreage/land you need. And they are all relatively close to Kingwood.

It's difficult to answer, as there are too many variables (as lhafer has noted). If living in the city is not critical (and that would skyrocket prices), move 30 minutes north on US59 from Kingwood, and you will find lots of land, lots of properties.

We wanted a horse property within an hour of Houston. We ended up buying 30 acres in Brenham (nw of houston 60 miles). Happy to help if you have any further questions.

Unlikely. She posted just a couple days later about some health issues with her SO. No insurance. Not sure how they were gonna afford a horse property w/home on site, room for 30+ horses, paddocks, stalls, round pen, etc... when they don't have health insurance.

(or maybe that's how they CAN afford it!)
