The going rate is $20 an hour? I'd look into hiring one of your neighbor kids and give them $5.00 an hour. It doesn't take very much experience to wash the dishes, scrub the john, and vacuum the carpets.

Or better yet, hire someone to babysit after you put the kids down, and tell them you want the house clean by the time you get back! Two birds with one stone!

If you are still interested, I have a wonderfull maid. My House is 2600 sq ft, My maid's name is Savannah, and she comes with her helper once a week and i pay $85. Her and her helper do a wonderfull job,and she also works late nights and weekends. She is young but she's worked for me for 2 years and is very trustworthy. If you are interested i can give you her information.

I know that this thread is pretty old, but wanted to see if anyone could recommend a trustworthy and reasonable maid for Sugar Land (Settlers Grove area). We haven’t moved in yet, so haven’t had the opportunity to ask neighbors, but wanted a good clean of the empty house before we did.

I've had a great experience having Merry Maids clean our home. Yes, they are more expensive, but I know there is a company that is trustworthy behind the maid that comes and clean my house. I use bi-weekly service and that work perfectly fine.
