Do realtors also handle house rentals? We're looking to rent first, make sure we'll be in the area long enough to make buying a house worthwhile.

We're looking for a 3BR (but prefer a 4BR), minimum of 2000 sf, fenced in back yard. Budget is up to $1700, although if we stay under $2000 then we may work with something we really like. Is that price range reasonable?

We're thinking of either The Woodlands or Spring, although I think hubby would prefer a more rural area like Magnolia. We have 2 young children so elementary schools matter.

What is the best way to find a rental? Hubby is already in Houston in temporary housing. We're hoping to move around the beginning of July, dependent on when our house sells though.

Are all rentals listed on MLS? Are there other good resources to find rentals?

I'm a Realtor and unfortunately rental listings are all over the place. There isnt a centralized listing service like there is on homes for sale, which is the MLS/HAR.com. HAR does have plenty of rentals. But you should also check the different newspapers and craigslist. Driving around the area you like is another good option.

Good luck
