I checked the readings. It seems to be right. This month, only 9 days into my payment period, I already used 39 ccf, which means I'll be paying over $110 at $0.9/ccf when the bill comes with 3x 39ccf.

Does this sound right?

If you have a "blue flame" in your fireplace, that would be the first thing I would check for a leak. After a while, they all leak.

If it's a newer house, they probably did a crap job installing them and the gas lines.

I compared with my coworker's historical. He has a 3200 sqft house and everything is natural gas (stove, oven, heater and water heater) and never once his gas charge is over $90 (less than 65 CCF)

I looked my historical (most from previous owner), some month, it gets $165!!!

Oh my !@#$!@#

Could it be my water heater? Every time it burns, the water heater makes a lot of noise which sounds like small firecrackers
