Hey guys!
This is my first post here so just wanted to say hi.

I will be starting my job in May 2011 at TMC. I am starting to look for places in Houston. Being a young single guy I would like to stay within the city for now. (no 'burbs for atleast 10 yrs) I was looking at buying a condo somewhere in midtown area but am totally lost. My budget is about 200k and have no pets or children. An ideal location would be some place with a nightlife (l love live music), relatively new (post 1990's built) and something that i could sell 10 yrs down the road. Any suggestions?

I looked at a few and would also like to know what ya'll think..

[Mod edit- Cant link single properties]

How is the neighborhood here? I am excited to move to houston...
Thanks in advance for you help!!

Midtown and Montrose - you just have to see the individual places and blocks. Some neighborhoods appear "shady" while others are great - and they may be very close geographically. You are looking too early. It is best to schedule a time somewhere in February/March 2011 and come down to pick out a place.

You could also try the areas off Washington Blvd in 77007. The Rice Military area is changing quickly with more bars and stores popping up. It's also close to the Galleria, Midtown, and Downtown.
What was the name of the neighborhood or street you initially linked?
