The night shot of the train is my fave! That angle makes it look like it's coasting over an ocean. You'd never guess it's just a couple inches of water!! Love it!!! Well done Jfre81!! =)

Thanks for the photos Jfre! You're a gentleman and a scholar AND an artist. I was in Houston for Christmas and appreciate the visual reminders of my recent trip. Keep up the good work! Hope you have a happy and creative 2010! Thank you for sharing.

I was close enough to the train to reach out with my left hand and touch it. It's probably a good thing a METRO police officer didn't see me sitting there that close to the tracks. I got what I wanted in one shot though so all was good.

One note - the shot from 45 north near Greenspoint was NOT done on foot. I was a passenger in a road vehicle other than a METRO bus for the first time in a long time, and I was taking pictures of our scenic freeway frontage. I didn't really intend to make a thread out of it...then again to some I would be showing "the real Houston."

You should find a publisher and put out a book (or, at least, a calendar) of your photos, jfre. You're awesome.

jfre: great pics as usual. The river, the size in the pics, lends itself to a RiverWalk treatment, as in San Antonio. Are there plans to build resturants and nite clubs along the banks?
