Hello,

I'm looking to find out if there is a somewhat large population of Brazilians or an area with some Brazilian restaurants(not Fogo de Chao) or stores?

I know Rio is just one flight away, but moving to Texas from Minnesota I'm hoping for more variety in between my trips to Brazil.

Thanks for your time!

I don't know of a huge Brazilian culture in Houston. Maybe you can start something up. Remember: Bring the women too, haha.

Start here: Find a Meetup Group Near You! - Expat Brazilian Meetups - Houston

BTW, I've been to Sao Palo to see one of my favorite DJ's, DJ Marky. Saw the women and did not want to leave. So beautiful.

Why didn't I think of Meetup.com. That is usually the first thing I tell people. I'm sure they would be able to tell you of any Brazilian happening going on in Houston, Texas2010.

Thanks guys! I'll check those meetups.

Brazil is definitely beautiful, and leaving is terrible I miss it so much- although Houston is always the start of my Brazil trips, so now I'll be one step closer!
Never been in Sao Paulo except for a flight- too much of a beach bum to be in the big city, although next trip I plan on seeing the sights in SP.

I have met quite a few Brazilians in Houston. To start, try the Brazilian Cafe:

Emporio Brazilian Cafe - Westchase - Houston, TX

They probably have some local papers for a community.
