Um, I like the Old Oak trees. They are what make Houston, Houston. Better than those freaking imported Palm Trees. I like Palm Trees, but come on! I am still trying to figure out why people want things to look so artificial. The Oaks are a part of this region, get over it. They will be around for quite a long time.

Love the live oak trees and the "road humps" sign...in Missouri the signs say "speed bumps"...I always get a kick out of that. Thanks for all the great photos.

Nice stuff, thanks for sharing. =)
Lizzie, you beat me to it. I thought, "Yeah, this is such a big collection of ugliness, Houston....no trees, pedestrian-un-friendly, car capital; no interesting areas.....

What a pit we live in! Woe is us!

(My favorite walk in the city: South Main. Those wonderful oak trees, the architecture, the park, the fountain....).

But hey, haterz, y'all go on with your bad selves. Move somewhere pretty, like Cleveland (Ohio, not Texas).

Hey guys/gals, I was only kidding! Just messing around with the haters. I'd probably put my life on the line to save one of those old oaks from a saw!
