Could you give me an idea on how much it would cost to rent a 3 or 4 bedrooms house in Sugarland, for 3 years? And what abou t apartments... are they cheaper or more expensive than a house in the same place?

if your husband's job is close to the spring valley/hunter's creek area, i'd look in spring valley. there are a lot of nice new patio homes and townhomes being built around there. where is his office going to be located?

Default Help to make the best choice.

Hi Larice,
I just read your post and you might be the person with the answers I need.
We are relocated in Houston after living overseas.
I am strongly considering living in Memorial area (Frostwood elem) but I wish to know how is the neighborhood, Are there more older people living in that area or can you find young families too? Is it snob?Is there a community pool or you need to have your own?... All those silly questions. Please help me to make the good decision, it's like only Cinco ranch is the good place to live in!
Thanks for your time.

Apartments are sometimes more expensive than house rentals when you look at the square footage. Depends on the features of the apartment and the "trendiness" factor.

I'd estimate the rent you'd pay for a 3-4 bdrm rental house would range anywhere from $1,000 on the low end to $2,000 on the high end. Then when you venture into McMansion land, it goes even higher.
