Let's go for another walk.

So yeah, it's a little cloudy. Oh well. It'll rain like hell tomorrow I'm told.

I'm hungry. Let's do lunch.

On the cheap, that is. Yo soy broke.

Works for me. The oldest lunch in Downtown Houston.

All right, time to go again.

No time for what?

Chooooo choo I'm a "pedestrain."

Think this guy's about ready to hit the links. Too funny not to post even though this shot sucks (out of focus).

Market Square under renovation.

GO PACK GO!

hi i'm a widdle baby pengin will u take me home

Rest in peace you funny ol' bastard.

Oh, it rained or something while I was in Books-A-Million.

Well folks, that's it.

...or wait, one more stop.

Thus I'm too buzzed right now for much thoughtful commentary. Maybe next time.

To a boring kind of a person your pics may appear boring to them. But to those who enjoy the moment in time that you seem to capture we really enjoy your pics.

Good day to you !!!!!!!

Thanks.

So yeah, this is part of the "Keep Houston Boring" movement I suppose. But I accidentally ran into a bit of activity out on them there streets this time. I guess every blind nut finds a squirrel every once in awhile.

Any Facebook people can follow along here - maybe I'll be thoughtful enough to drop a note next time I'm about to head out for a shoot...

You need a Vernors to go along with the coney dogs.

The James Coney island in clear lake closed down a year or two ago, very disappointing considering it was like a little slice of Michigan (my homeland). I'm curious as to the connections (if there are any) the brothers who started James Coney Island had to the Greek brothers who started similar restaurants in the Detroit area years earlier? Coney Island Resturants are a staple of Michigan culture... usually open 24 hours, serving breakfast all day ... along with basic Greek food (salads, gyros etc) and of course Coney Dogs.

From what I can find there is no connection between JCI and the Michigan Coney Islands other than JCI was also founded by Greek immigrants around the same time. It's the oldest Houstonian restaurant/chain in existence today, and until about the late 60s or so was only one location downtown (not the current one - this was on Main Street).

They sold out to corporate owners some time during the oil bust in the 80s, which I guess is better than going under completely.

Regardless, they make hot dogs in true coney island style... thus me likey. Just went to their website and see they are opening a new location at 45 and Nasa Rd 1... can't wait!
