Use an Apartment Locator
I have a broken lease and when moving to Houston I had the same problem. I was getting denied at properties because of it. I then decided to find an apartment locator and came across HOU Apartment Locator
Houston Apartment Locator: Free Apartment Search - Home They made my search a lot more easier. They sent me a list of properties and added a side note next to each of them what the property would/would not accept. Check em out!
