Over 8 years later and my post still won't die. LOL.
BTW, the painters did a great job and the paint has held up very well 8 years later.

This includes the price of paint.
Our house is just under 2500 square feet.
It would be basically all the bedrooms (we have 4 bedrooms) except 2, living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, upstairs hallway and stairway.
I've never had to do anything like this before.
Does $1800 sound like a decent price to your guys?
Yeah. I think it’s good. I just paid $2300 for a similar sized home and that was walls only — no trim or ceilings and I bought the paint. But I wanted to ensure a good quality paint was used and not contractor paint.

@texas7, if you don't mind me asking, how many sq ft of wall, and how many gallons of paint did you buy, and how much did the paint cost?

I have a huge job coming online very soon, I want to get the best price and my next door neighbor said he can get a 40% discount on the paint at Sherwin Williams. I may get someone to do it all if I can get a good price, but so far, only one quote has come in, and I need at least three. With your input, I'll be in a better position to negotiate. I too will use Sherwin Williams, I've used it before... it does cost more, but man, it goes on thick and smooth, I really liked it.

I paid $2,300 for my 2,200 sq. foot townhouse, however that did include the cost of Benjamin Moore paint.

2400 sq feet and four 5-gallon containers. SW does have a 30 percent off coupon until the end of March. Plus they take off an additional amount before applying the coupon. That is about five or ten percent extra. And you’re right, their pain is very expensive.
