currently using comcast cable/internet/phone. thinking about switching-whats the cheapest best plans out there?

I am in a similar situation. Seems like Comcast's rates are very high...but we are new to the area and don't know alternatives yet.

At&T is your only other large scale option that I am familiar with for internet access. But DSL pales in comparison with cable. There are other operations such as Entouch Services and probably a slew of other smaller providers, but I would bet that most people have either AT&T DSL or have Comcast Cable for internet.

For TV, you can go with Comcast, AT&T, Dish Network, or DirecTV. Again, there are smaller companies like Entouch that offer cable service, but for mainstream use, the four I listed will be your most common approaches. Dish Network is probably the cheapest, DirecTV second, followed by Comcast and AT&T Uverse.
