14 yr old girl shot

This is just a sickening story and senseless crime! It gives me pause about ever being able to defend myself by trying to just get a license plate number!

I'm glad they found the coward that did this and pray that this girl can pull through and still have a good quality of life.

It's so sad; but it tells me how important the 2nd amendment is. I'm glad they got the sonofabit*h and I hope he hangs.

I am not sure how the right to bear arms would have helped in this situation. Should the mom been packing heat and engaged in a gun battle in the streets?

We need Open Carry. It's ridiculous that Texas is one of the states that doesn't have it. There are far more good guys than there are bad guys. Open Carry makes for a more polite society.

I think that the mother should call the cops and let them do their job. Going after him with a kid in a back seat was not a very wise decision.

According to that link you provided, the mom was a TSU police officer. Terrible story... hope somehow the doctors can save her.

Unfortunately, she died.

I agree with Mr. Football on this 100%. Open carry, polite society.

While I agree it's important, in this case I'm not seeing your point. I figure an off duty officer was most likely carrying, exercising her 2nd amendment rights. The idea isn't to hide behind your piece to feel secure; it's to save a life, which didn't happen. Bad example.

Hopefully this guy gets sent straight to Huntsville. Open-shut case, murder of a kid... no sense keeping him in jail for the next 50 years.
