You got that right. Just returned from a vacation trip to the Bay Area. Don't get me wrong, it was beautiful and a LOT of fun BUT toward the end of our trip (about a week) I was looking at my bank account and sweating a little bit. Granted, the average Bay Area resident probably doesn't do as much driving and/or sight seeing as we did but I can appreciate how cheap Houston is.

Needless to say, it felt good again to pay under 30 bucks for a meal for two when we got back.

I plan to go back to Bay Area at retirement if I can save enough.
