Houston Yates has a terrific sports history. In addition to basketball, the 1985 state championship football team should definitely be considered one of the all-time great teams!

I would like to see what the Cougars can do. I don't usually watch college basketball, but if they can make it exciting I'm there.

Huge congrats! It's been interesting seeing the editorials change from "Are the Lions the best team in the country this year?" to "Are they the best basketball team in Texas HS HISTORY?". ... and they just might be!

2001 Willowridge team is probably the best basketball team in Texas HS history.

Wouldn't it be great to get T.J. Ford and his posse to have a pickup game with them at Fonde Gym after the NBA season. Hopefully the other Willowridge guys are still in shape. You're right, that was a great team. Did any of the other guys make the pros?

Daniel Ewing and Ivan McFarlin were both in the NBA for a very brief period of time.
Last I heard, Ewing was playing overseas like most Duke players end up doing (j/k).
