I was wondering just for a person going to enrolling and getting ready to go to college such as myself what would be the best jobs in Houston to have.I know warehouse jobs are good and Houston seems to have a major buisness in trucking,but I want to know for sure which ones are best

Houston is in need of skilled people in a/c , electricity, car repair, and other vocational skills. Check out University of Houston and their vocational programs and Houston Community College. We need excellent experienced skilled people. My mechanic makes a more $$ than most attorneys.

Also, look in the Chronicle classifieds to see where the current needs are. A/C and car repair... I'd imagine you'd be set for life in Houston with careers in either of those!

My husband is a licensed electrician and he would say that they are in demand - especially Apprentice Electricians and Journeymans. Also, I would agree with Yetti and say that mechanics are always needed, it seems. Best of luck!
