I currently live in Florida and work for the state. I want to relocate to Houston.

I wanted to know a website of where I can apply for state jobs in houston and see if I can transfer or at least apply at my same department in houston which is the department of health.

Default Apply only...

Hi there... this is the WEB site you are looking for:

WorkInTexas.com Home: Helping Texans Work Better.

I don't think you can transfer your job as the two states are totally independent.

Good luck!

Default USAJOBS.gov has Federal Department of Health Postings

If you can not transfer, would you consider a Federal Government position? There are posting for Texas for the Dept of Health there.

Get in line. I believe the city of Houston has a line out the door and around a few corners in regards to gubmint jobs.

I sincerely doubt that counts the Census jobs (yeesh) that WIT.com/Texas Workforce is trying help hire for.

You living in Florida probably hinders that cause even more, so try if you must, but have a big pile of cash to sit on just in case push gives way to shove.
