I thought that looked too far. You can't always count on Google maps timing so I like to ask people the reality.

I sure do appreciate the input. I have said it many times, the people on the forums are so helpful in making these big decisions and I am so grateful for all of you. I am so glad that people take time to give us out of towners such helpful advice. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!

Good luck - Bella Vita is very nice, near good shopping at Baybrook and League City and all the amenities of the Pearland/Friendswood area plus a short and quick commute to Hobby. There is another 55+ gated section in League City in Tuscan Lakes - Tuscan Lakes is a very large development and their gated 55+ neighborhood is a much smaller area of that development, looks nice - however, I think you might get more for your monthly dues in Bella Vita though and Bella Vita is closer in.

Thank you again. We should hear in the next month if my husband's transfer is approved. I thought it sounded like it was but he received a response that they didn't make a final decision yet. Does Tuscan sell single family homes or condos? I heard there is a 55+ rental area someone around there.

Reading how high the insurance rates is scary. We are used to $600 per year. I knew it would be higher but not as high as I have been reading on this forum for Pearland. Bella Vita is in a 500 year flood plain I was told. Is that bad or good for Houston area? I really like the location of Pearland to the Hobby Airport and the price of homes.
