Houston might need another Nordstrom instead of a Rack!

Why didn't Nordstrom occupy Mervyn's old space instead of Dillard's full-blown Men's Department that now occupies it? DFW has 4 stores but Houston still only has 1, equal to the number SA and Austin have. Los Angeles has so many stores to count but not all are at the 'luxury' line. When I was at South Coast a couple years ago, there were some blouses and other items that were selling for about $50.

Memorial City Mall's old Mervyn's would have been a perfect space for Houston's second Nordstrom (Apparently they looked there first before hearing about Galleria IV). Sugar Land was the third on my list followed by a close tie at fourth with Willowbrook and The Woodlands Mall.

I could remember a while back when someone said that The Woodlands was getting a Neiman Marcus.

Yeah; people overlook Willowbrook. You also have Baybrook to the south.
