You want to talk about development? I've watched the fields of West Chambers County transformed into single, mile long acreage neighborhoods. The Subdivisions are destroying the country lifestyle that the people building in those same neighborhoods are trying to move into. I ave also watched a huge area next to the coastal community of Beach City in West Chambers become an industrial park, slowly ruining our quality of life. Our schools started as just a Primary, Elementary, Middle & High School & we have added a Kindergarden Center & plan to, for the first time in BHISD history double our schools. I've seen the Grand Pkwy develop which is a freeway from Baytown to nowhere for now be turned into a toll road that no one will pay to use. The one development we haven't seen is businesses. We have no new grocery stores or restaurants, or department stores & our nearest Mall, San Jacinto is slowly digging its own grave. So development isn't kind here, there is no rhythm or rhyme just random uncooperative un-communicating developers looking for a quick buck. We have long drives to Hospitals, grocery stores, and gas Stations. It Basically a Terrible mess. I do enjoy new development but only when it helps, and out here the current developments aren't helping anything but our money hungry schools.
