After being here for about a month we're looking in the Oak Park Trails area in Katy. Any info on this subdivision?

The area has been around for about 10 years now. I'm actually more likely to recommend it now that i was in the past. It was built mostly by KB homes and I know there were serious quality issues with several homes initially. However, after this long, if you get a good home inspector any serious flaws will probably already have surfaced.

The one thing i will say is that this area has never appreciated. Houses are selling in the exact same range they were 10 years ago. It is a starter home area, and may be just what you are looking for, but don't expect to make a whole lot of money off your house when you turn around to sell it and move up.

What he said.

Lived near there until a couple of years ago. Watched them being built. Nice starter home community.
