A friend is visiting me this weekend from NY. As she was getting off the plane she was talking to another passenger, from Houston, who learned she was visiting from NY and decided to suggest things to do. The first thing she said was, "You have to go to Sam Moon!" Well, I've lived here for seven years and have never heard of this place. I gather it's a store.

Is there anything special about this place? Isn't it bizarre that someone would suggest a store as the one must-see destination in Houston?

Its okay. If you are into accessories and purses then you can get some really cute things there for CEHAP! Would I say it is a must go to nope. There home decor section is a bit pricey but when they clearance things out it is pretty good. Their cafe is super yummy. SUPER crazy on Saturday and they are closed on Sundays.

Cheap Crap way the heck to the north. It's like most of the stores up there, geared to the budget conscious. I don't know why someone would call it a must see. It's like saying "you must see our high end Walmart." Kinda an oxymoron.

You can get all that stuff on Harwin too BTW.

Sam Moon is mostly in Dallas. There is one in The Woodlands, north of Houston. Other than that, I'm unaware of any others here. I'd say the equivalent of Sam Moon is Charming Charlie's or the Harwin Central Mart on Harwin Dr.
