Getting ready for my first trip to Houston and I'm wondering what kind of clothes to bring. What do people usually dress like in houston?
Should I bring:
shorts and tshirts
shorts and blouses
summery dresses
jeans, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat?

They dress the exact same way you dress in your state. I'd leave the cowboy stuff home.

You forgot the belt buckle the size of a frying pan.

Seriously, leave the Cowboy gear home, it is a stereotype that Texans all wear that stuff. You'll see what you see in your own city, so dress like you are at home.

Just wear whatever as long as you are comfortable; that's for everywhere.

I do like a lady in boots and tight jeans, nothing wrong with that. Don't leave those at home. If you do the night scene and are into 2-stepping and country dancing I don't see why you should leave your hat at home. But if it's just a family or fun trip then the hat isn't needed. I'd say shorts and t-shirts and anything that you'd be comfortable wearing in the desert heat.

Edit- please don't wear your hat on a normal day unless you're an Okie then you'll be okay

Sundresses are great for summer. Sandles too. Anything cool.
