Hi! Im 21 years old and im considering moving from sacramento ca to dallas or houston tx.. I am eally tired of california and i need a change, i am a recent college graduate in the healthcare industry and i wanted to know if either one of these is a good place to live for a single black woman? I am interested in how good the economy is, the crime rate, the night life, best city to live where i am not isolated from diversity, good southern food, shopping of course!,friendly ppl, and the black men!!

Thx!
Xoxo

Absolutely! If you're in healthcare, then you should not have a problem finding a job in Houston or Dallas. Houston, btw, has a world renowned medical district at TX Medical Center Texas Medical Center - Get to Know (http://www.texasmedicalcenter.org/root/en/GetToKnow/Get+to+Know.htm - broken link). Dallas has SW Medical School and tons of hospitals in it's medical district. Both cities are very large and diverse. Race won't be an issue in either city. As with all cities, Houston & Dallas have their pros and cons. Both would be worth visiting for at least a few days each to help you make your decision.

Yep.....repetitive indeed.

Funny how a black person can ask if a place is good for him or her, and the thread remains open, and things get discussed at length.

Let a white person ask if a place is majority Caucasian/white, and the thread gets closed after all of the snarky comments!

Did I say anything about either of those myself?

No. You brought both up.
