Looking at homes in Cypress....Longwood, Coles Crossing, Fairfield, Northlake Forest, etc. Priorities are top schools Elem, Middle, and HS, neighborhood with lots of kids, mine are age 9+, commute time of <40 mins, and <10 year old home with pool and nice backyard retreat...view to green space, lake or golf course. I like the trees. Price range is 300 to 350. New job loc is right at 290 and BW8, with possibility of working near Tomball or Rankin Rd within next 5 years. Thank you in advance for your recommendations.

We just found a home in Blackhorse Ranch. We looked at most of the houses you mentioned. We were looking for all the same things, schools, neighborhood, house. There is a lot to choose from in Cypress. We really liked the Cypress area. Blackhorse Ranch was, in my opinion, one of the nicest neighborhoods in that the houses are not on top of each other. Good luck!

Although Fairfield (and BlackHorse mentioned just above) are both nice - if you move to Tomball or Rankin later - it will be easier to do so from Coles Crossing and Longwood. Plan on longer term, rather than knowing you will have to move (and uproot the kids 5 years later).

Not too bad to Tomball ( I know I hate the Meuschke twisting and turning that seems to go on forever) - but Rankin? You either twist and turn foreverto eventually get to a place where you can strike out east - or have to get to 1960/290 to head east a long way.
