My brother is visiting me in Houston this weekend with his wife & 7 month old daughter. My wife & I do not have children, so we're not familiar with child-friendly places to go. Any suggestions for this weekend?

Thanks.

Honestly? Keep it cool and shaded and do what you want. It's 7 months. It will eat and sleep and be happy as long as it's with it's mom. Maybe just hit the museums this weekend and stay cool.

As to restaurants, yes I wouldn't go to a really nice one with an infant. And if the baby is a restaurant screamer, then you may want to consider cooking.

Default Not sure about Kemah..

At least at night, else the baby, and everyone else will be eaten alive by mosquitos! Kemah is nice though, but a 7 month old will not care at all, I'd concentrate on keeping her comfortable, and that means climate wise, it is very hot and humid in Kemha, also a pain to drive back at night to Houston... maybe stay in the area, or rent a house on the beach at Galveston... I don't think there is an oil there... YET!

1) Houston Children's Museum, 2) Space Center Houston (4 & under are free) - Go online and get a Buy one Get one free this weekend, 3) Houston Galleria Newer Wing on south side - Build a bear, Disney store, wall of water 5 min away and Kids Train goes around the kids section all day. We went to the Children's Museum last weekend, it was awesome for our toddler and air conditioned -- spend a couple of hours their open on Sunday...Galveston will be too hot and crowded for the little one..
