They did a lane like this from St Albans to the new bridge in South Charleston. It doesn't look very safe, so hopefully Huntington's is wider.

Huntington will provide two 5 foot lanes on either side of 4th Ave. Hopefully this will be adequate for safety. The more people use it, the more drivers will be aware of and accustomed to it.
