"We are currently under a $413,000 contract with C.J. Hughes Construction Co. for the final phase, which is between 10th and 12th streets," Holley said. "There are only two streets remaining to be redeveloped between 8th Street and Hal Greer."
Money for the current phase is from Community Development Block Grants and the Transportation Alternatives Program.
HUNTINGTON - In an effort to reduce street flooding, the city of Huntington has entered into a three-year contract with a Columbus, Ohio, company to provide street sweeping services.
The city hasn't had regular street sweeping in several years, and street debris washing into storm drains has complicated the street flooding issues that have beset Huntington for decades, Mayor Steve Williams said Thursday.
