Nice idea for a thread Tim, it's good to make people aware of the outdoor and physical activities available. Site's like "iplayoutside" and "tristateracer" are always helpful to find weekend events.

Two weeks ago there was a tri-athlon held at the MU Student Rec Center. My wife participated in it, and she said there were over 100 females competiing in it. That's a good turnout for a winter, indoor tri-athlong, imo.

I've never heard of the iplayoutside site so I'm not sure local events use that very much.

It's all about WV events. Some of the local running clubs in Teays Valley and Charleston use this site.

Looks like there is a cost to add an event to the iplayoutside site, $105 or $35. The Tri-state Racer site is free, which may explain why Huntington events use that site more.
