Always modern shows when will there be a show with Appalachian style Old English ballads as preserved in the Hills and Hollows for 300 hundred years unchanged until Professor Childs discovered them 99 years ago

We've had so many great musicians that have come through Huntington. I think the music scene is as hot as it has ever been here. Tyler Childers has the number one country album in the country who regularly played here. "The Band Ona" is nationally acclaimed. We are getting a steady stream of great acts coming to the BSSA. So many Eastern Kentucky artist get there starts here.

I wonder why we can't market this in someway as an identity for the city...as a "little Nashville" or something.

Put up some maps downtown (like they have at the Huntington Mall) of the music circuit, or just ones in general showing the hot spots.

Another thought, it would be nice to get a strip going (like on 4th Ave between 8th and 16th) where businesses are required to have horizontal and vertical signage lit at least between 8pm - Midnight to liven up downtown and help restore it to what it once was. Again as an identity almost for the city, get a little vegas strip thing going as far as lights.

Huntington really needs a modern and quality performance venue just for music. I know I've mentioned it in previous posts, in different threads, but I feel strongly that the Huntington music scene would grow even more with an appropriate venue.
