There are new plans up on the website. The home improvement looks like a mix of a home depot and an 84 lumber with the back yard/warehouse area.

That home improvement store looks FUNNY, certainly not a HD or Lowes. Could it be a Rural King?

I think Rural King focuses more on existing structures. They seem to like former department store anchor slots in dying malls.

That's a good bet. Menard's has some excellent sales on Black Friday!

Menard's...ugh...what a waste. Sure hope that The Crossing is more exciting. A development anchored by Menard's, Sheetz, Home Goods and Aldi doesn't really excite me much.

Absolutely agree. What started out to generate lots of excitement is turning out to be very disappointing. Think about it for a minute...we went from talking about Bass Pro Shops, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Hilton Garden Inn, and the like to Menards and Aldi, and far less businesses than once illustrated...this is certainly a massive downgrade and what I would consider a major failure for the Village of Barboursville.. All we can hope for now is a much more exciting development at The Crossing.

We should probably wait until the stores are actually announced before declaring Tanyard Station a disappointment and a failure. The stores mentioned so far have only been suggestions on this board, not any kind of announcement by the developers.

The only one that I listed that is not almost certain is Menard's. Home Goods, Sheetz and Aldi will almost certainly be there. That means Trader Joe's will not. Also with the new map, an outdoor store has also been dropped from consideration. No matter what they do, unless some of those original speculations come back around, it probably won't be that exciting.
