Commute to Marshall Univ? My son has an interview with the autism program and we're heading that way in our RV. In looking around Huntington I've not found many/any decent looking RV campgrounds but that could be just what's showing up on the 'net.
The closest we've found so far is in Milton but it's $$$. So far it looks as though Racine, OH is about the best bet but we wonder how bad of a commute is it from there to Marshall since we have to be there by 0830.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Check the Wv state parks through American Land & Leisure..they subcontract out a lot of the state parks and provide the staff to run them...all have RV facilities for about $20 per night.

You might check into Ohio too...

Beech Fork State Park is 12 miles from Huntington. It has a total of 275 sites, some with full hookups. 1-800-CALL-WVA.

I'm absolutely sure you can find somewhere closer than Racine.

As listed above, Beech Fork and Fox Fire are 2 options but I found another one on the internet called Jim's Camping in Milton. There are also 2-3 RV sites just up Route 2 along the Ohio River but I/m not sure how far they are from Huntington. You might contact the local RV dealership and see if they can point you in the right direction or give you more information. Here's their contact info along with some other links. I hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.
