Well, unless the manager of Whole Foods in Orlando was not telling me the truth, WF DID buy both Wild Oats and Fresh Market. At least that's what he said. Maybe, WF was only buying the Fresh Market in FL.....guess that could be the answer...

Well, I stand corrected. The only thing I have heard is that WF bought Wild Oats, but if you were told they had also bought Fresh Market it must be true. The FM just opened here in December and appears to be a big success. In fact I have heard that they were going to be increasing the size of the store. They carry a lot of high end produce, meats, prepared foods, and such.

I can only repeat what I was told...but it's maybe like I said, and WF only bought the FM in Florida. Next time I go over to Orlando I will certainly question them again! It does seem strange that FM just opened a couple of months ago and then sold it to WF....will check again!

It doesn't matter whether it's a real Whole Foods or another place, I just wanted to know that there's a place to get organic foods. A lot of places just sell vitamins and such, but I need a place to get fresh and frozen veggies and quality non-additive meats. Thank you both for your answers, it's nice to know that there is a place to meet my needs.
