Here is my story. I'm a 34 year old male and I work as a contact administrator in Omaha, NE. I plan on visiting Huntsville in February. Until then, I have some questions:

1. I am looking to rent a 1 BR apartment. What are the best areas to rent? What areas and places should I avoid? My maximum rent that I want to pay is $600.00 a month. Since I am single, I don't care about square feet and I don't care about nightlife.

2. Is the snow that Huntsville is receiving the norm every winter? One of the reasons I am looking to leave Nebraska is because of the snow.

3. What is the market like for data entry/clerical/customer service and accounting jobs in Huntsville and the surrounding areas?

4. I am an avid runner. Are there any trails or green ways in town?

Thank you in advance

Since I am single, I don't care about square feet and I don't care about nightlife. There are not many bad spots in the Huntsville area per se. However, you would probably want to stick to the West Huntsville and Madison City areas. But I don't rent an apartment, but there are many nice ones around. Especially new.

2. Is the snow that Huntsville is receiving the norm every winter? One of the reasons I am looking to leave Nebraska is because of the snow. This is very abnormal for around here. We are lucky to get 3" total for a year.

3. What is the market like for data entry/clerical/customer service and accounting jobs in Huntsville and the surrounding areas? Not sure about this one.

4. I am an avid runner. Are there any trails or green ways in town? There are many. If you check out Fleet Feet in Huntsville's website, you will find many listings for places to run and running groups.

Thank you in advance

Lots of apartment rentals in town, most of them are in decent neighborhoods. Your criteria seem easy enough, it should not be difficult to find one. You can pick up an apartment rental guide in front of restaurants everywhere when you get in town.

2. Is the snow that Huntsville is receiving the norm every winter? One of the reasons I am looking to leave Nebraska is because of the snow.

Nah, I don't buy it. There's must be stronger reasons why you're looking to leave. Maybe you'll find Huntsville women more to your liking. They are sweethearts ! Southern comfort type.

3. What is the market like for data entry/clerical/customer service and accounting jobs in Huntsville and the surrounding areas?

Why are you looking for work other than as a Contract Administrator? A CA pays higher than those jobs that you asked. There are lots of companies here and almost every one of them has a need for a CA or a sub-CA. I would send resumes out and tell them that you will be in HSV in February. It's a good opportunity to talk to them at that time.

Because I have experience in those other fields as well. I wasn't aware of the demand for CA's in the area and I wanted to keep my options open just in case.

Jamie I suggest you start your search. Being defense jobs most companies will only accept resumes online. You can't hardly get through the doors of most contractors even with a name. There is a big demand for contract admins/specialists
