I am in need of a place to deer hunt this season! Im looking for someone to give me permision to hunt but also willing to buy a permit (up to $300). Anything from 10-1000 acres is fine, I dont use an atv, and Im very respectful of any rules you may have. Any land within a 45min drive from Huntsville would be great.

Thank you in advance
God Bless

It's now late Sept. Any good hunting clubs will have been filled shortly after they opened their membership up in mid-to-late summer. For any clubs still open at this late date, you probably don't want to be associated with (although I'm sure there are exceptions - just be aware).

Plus, $300 is on the low end of a decent hunting club, at that price, you'll probably or could be dealing with a lessee hoping to line his pockets by stuffing a lot of people on land he leases (BTDT).

Bankhead NF and the Black Warrior WMA are about an hour and a half from Huntsville. The NF deer season is very close to the state season while the WMA deer season is much less. The good news is that you won't find any ATVs in the Sipsey Wilderness and pretty no where else in BW also.

The WMA license is about $16 a year, a good deal IMO.

Good luck.

Im not necessarily looking for a "club" but rather someone who has a little land and could use a few dollars. Bankhead is a great place to hunt, but, like you said its an hour and a half away, between the 3 hour round trip and all the gas it cost, it just not for me. I am looking into TVA and Wheeler as they are much closer. But yeah Im still looking for a place to hunt bow or gun and willing to share the venison.

I saw an ad in Sunday's Decatur Daily from the Alabama Land Trust. Apparently it has acreage that is available for hunting. I'll try to find the ad tonight.
