Someone should turn the old SmokeHouse Restaurant into a Nice SportsBar, like the one in Providence. I believe this idea would do great numbers and also there really isnt a establishment of that kind of that area unless you considered WestSide Bar N Grill

Great idea. Go with LED 3-D wide-screens and some ferns and it can still be considered upscale. Maybe name it Upper East Side Sports Palace.

They tried already - they failed.

Red Lobster location is the same but what choice do we have if we want to go to the Red Lobster.
That's another good point.
It amazes me they didn't move or build another one somewhere...

I mean when the O'Charley's got robbed one too many times they moved to the location across from IHOP and closer to madison. I have often theorized where the Red Lobster could move/add a location.

Sorry to keep this off track from the thread title...

Not much more can be said about Smokehouse closing - might as well add something about restaurants.

That Smokehouse location is large enough to support three fast-food restaurant indoor walk-ups with a common seating area. That would definitely keep busy - a quick fast-food bite before the movie or a place for the teens to grab an affordable meal.

They already have that Upscale Red Robin hamburger joint right across from the Monaco. Can't have those $10 burgers going uneaten.

Maybe a bowling alley... no wait there are already two of those in BSTC.

...an Irish brew pub maybe? Here is a concept.

Looks like it is going to be the Tavern at Bridge Street.

Bridge Street Tavern to open in first quarter in Huntsville's Bridge Street Town Centre | al.com

Well at least it won't sit vacant for long.

I have always wanted to try Tavern on the Summit. I look forward to giving it a shot here.

Although I doubt the steak will be as good as James Steakhouse in downtown.
