Just came back from Chattanooga TN; Discovered this cooking store near the downtown area. Went inside last night and found out they sell all these different types of salts/spices. The prices were very affordable. I bought some Himalayan ($0.70 oz) and Chipolte salt($1.25 oz). They have about 10-20 different types in HUGE glass jars. I will be making a weekend trip again (sometime soon) to add some more to my new found collection.

You should probably move this to the food section. We have a new store in Savannah with different types of salt. This is the sort of thing that thrills me, but I'm a Foodie.
I've only been to one restaurant, in Ohio, where a tray of different colored salts was placed on the table. It was fun to taste the diffences.

I'm still searching for hickory-flavored salt. It used to easy to find at most any grocery store. No longer.

Default Yes!

I'm not from or near AL., but had to respond to this! I'm a HUGE salt fan! I've carted salt back from France, Spain, Italy and many states. If you see it, try the Hawaiian salt. It comes in red and black along with white.Salt is also a great gift. (I think!) I've had several foodie friends go gaga over the fleur de sel from France.

I will look for that; I think they had something like there at the store. I am so excited to go back and try the others.
