Connors is a great place for wonderful steaks and a lot more. We tried to go once a month but with visiting family have gone twice this weekend. Best value for steaks. In fact, ate at Grille 29 and Connors on consecutive nights and Connors wins hands down.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Please keep them coming. Po Boy Factory is a must for sthe aunt and uncle. They love it. Cotton Row for my bro & sil. Edith Ann's and Blue Plate, we agree are excellent. Haven't had good experiences with Mama Annie's.

We will try Clark's. It sounds like a winner. Haven't tried Bandito Burrito on Governor's, but went to the one in Madison on Cinco de Mayo. Hubs frat brothers will like it.

More suggestions are welcome.

Venice Pizza on Madison Pike (near West End Grill) - place is a dive, but the food is fantastic. Pizza is a New England style - hybrid of New Haven. Great calzones, veal parm sandwich is also fantastic. Love the Zeppelis or fried dough.

Famous Joe's Pizza on county line. Award winning pizza.

Wingzilla on County line

Po-Boy Factory - I'm from New Orleans and eating here saves me a 7 hour ride home. Wish they had snoballs and it would be perfection.

New Orleans Lunchbox - very good. If it wasn't in a gas station it would be ranked higher.

There is a Mexican taco truck on Drake and Triana- best Mexican food in the area.

Taqueria El Cazador has 3 locations: store on S Parkway, bus on Governors Dr, and bus on Triana. All are great, best Mexican food in town.

Hubs frat brothers would like the Nook (Bob Wallace west of Triana), James Steakhouse bar / Humphreys live music (downtown), and the Straight to Ale taproom (Leeman Ferry south of Drake behind Matrix - open W-S from 3-8).

Yes Reactionary, they would definitely enjoy The Nook and Humphrey's. We already have The Nook on our list for them. Any suggestions for places in or around Guntersville?
