I am looking to help someone who needs my help to do the things they can't do alone.

Moving - I have a truck and can tow a trailer if you have one
Cutting downed trees - I have a chainsaw
Clearing
General Mr fix-it stuff
Mowing
Trimming
Hauling stuff away
Raking or general yard clean-up
Painting
Basically anything you might need help with!

Chris

That's nice of you to offer that!

I don't need it right now, but are you experienced with interior painting? How much do you charge?

God Bless You for offering your help! I would encourage you to contact the Downtown Rescue Mission or other services to offer your help. You will be a Godsend to many!

There aren't many posts that make me sit back and really think, but yours has done that. My first thought was "Habitat for Humanity", but I understand your wanting a more individual experience. My second thought was "There are some places in Alabama where work on a Sunday is still frowned upon." (IMO, your generosity trumps that, but people can be strange.) I'm guessing that an impoverished widow living on social security would be about the perfect recipient for such generosity. (Yard work implies home ownership.)

I hope you find someone really deserving close by. That is a pretty neat offer.

I know the CARE Center in New Hope serves some homebound seniors. I bet some of those seniors would find your generosity a huge blessing.
