Anyone have any recommendations for an indoor venue that would be good for a modest party, either adults-only or family-oriented? This would be an adult birthday party for a milestone birthday - most of the guests have kids so something family-oriented might be fun, or something just for adults. Reasonably priced - nothing fancy, just fun - with enough room for maybe 50 people to socialize and have a good time.

Also any recommendations for catering? I'm thinking maybe Little Rosie's.

A couple of years ago one of my friends had a family reunion at Southern Adventures. She chose this venue because the adults could socialize and the children would have activities. You would have to have the food catered.

YMCA has a Community Room that comfortably holds 50. You would need to have it catered. Salsarita's is good. No alcohol but lots for kids to do with the pool and teen room.

I don't recall which one but.. one of the vfw's or knights of columbus halls had a smaller room you could rent pretty reasonably (a few yrs back, anyway). You were pretty much free to do as you please there (within reason).
Or.. maybe rent a cabin or 2 on monte sano. Not everyone has to stay overnight.
